A couple of months ago in the Movie Prediction thread, I went of on this, as reading the films for the year, this looked unbelievable.

So ready for The Day After Independance Day when Armageddon has Fallen in 2012.
Oh and remember, this isn't a spoof. It's a "serious" film.

It also looks stupidly fun in a leave your brain at the door.
Maybe it will be so terrible it's good.
Nah, it's Roland Emmerich.

Trailer for Demon with the Atomic Brain, the latest movie from director/producer/writer/editor Christopher R. Mihm, who has been making lovingly-crafted homages to 1950s sci-fi/horror movies since 2006, at the rate of one film every year.

Mihm's previous movies are The Monster of Phantom Lake (2006), It Came from Another World (2007), Cave Women on Mars (2008), Terror from Beneath the Earth (2009), Destination: Outer Space (2010), Attack of the Moon Zombies (2011), House of Ghosts (2012), The Giant Spider (2013), The Late Night Double Feature (2014, consisting of X - The Fiend from Beyond Space and The Wall People), Danny Johnson Saves the World (2015), and Weresquito: Nazi Hunter (2016). Tell me you don't want to see some of those!

As I've recently watched several trailers for Christopher R. Mihm's movies, YouTube recommended the following - the trailer for Destination Mars, directed by Richard Lowry and written by his brother Tor.

Personally I think this looks wonderful. It's as though Devil Girl From Mars (1954), Earth Vs The Flying Saucers (1956) and Plan 9 From Outer Space (1959) got together and had a love child. Although completed in 2001 and screened at film festivals that year, Destination Mars wasn't released on DVD in America until 2006, apparently because the Lowrys struggled to find a distributor prepared to handle a black & white movie. I'd love to see it receive a Region 2 DVD release in the UK.

Filmed and released in Russia as Guardians of the Night in 2016, this movie was re-titled The Last Vampire Princess (in order to avoid confusion with the Russian superhero film Guardians) when it was released in America last year. It's reverting back to it's original title for it's DVD/Blu-ray release in the UK later this month.

Trailer for post-apocalyptic western Scorched Earth, directed by British actor turned director Peter Howitt, previously responsible for Sliding Doors (1998), the underrated techno-thriller Antitrust (2001), and the first Johnny English movie (2004). This looks like enjoyable B movie fun.

Not sure that any of these merit a new thread but I am pleasantly encouraged by all of them:

The reboot is upon us;

First thoughts: this looks more like a superhero movie. Surely that's not the right approach?

Here's a compilation of Ant Man & the Wasp trailers for you to get your teeth into as we await July for our next slice of new MCU. Wait for the last one, it is priceless.

I had no idea there was a sequal to Unbreakable before this was announced, so actually watched the excellent Split last night, now I'm really looking forward to this.

I find most Shyamalan films to be mediocre and predictable but the first two films in this trilogy are nothing of the sort.

Yeah, when it came to light that Split was a kinda back door sequel to Unbreakable it became infinitely more interesting, and it was already pretty damned good before that revelation came to light. Now if Glass can really capitalise on that? This could make for a superb unique take on the superhero genre. This is almost like Shymalan’s Avengers. Can’t wait for this.

That Death Wish remake with Bruce Willis suddenly seems utterly redundant.

Wow, this is actually the first Transformers movie I've been excited about since the first Bay effort. Transformers that actually look like the Transformers you remember from back in the day, proper G1 style. And Shockwave and Soundwave, some of my favourite Decepticons making an appearance in all their G1 glory. I might actually go and see this.

I was kind of over Transformers after the last few. Well, after the second one really, but you're right, proper transformers like they used to be when I was young! Shockwave! Might actually be looking forward to seeing this.

I hope Jazz is in it. I was devastated when my favourite childhood Transformer was the first one to bloody die in the first film.

I wasn't that arsed about this after seeing the first trailer, but have to admit this second one does have me intrigued, might just have to check this out at the cinema on the strength of this trailer.

Definitely has me interested in seeing it, but I'll probably wait for a home release. Reminds me a lot of the run of stories in one of the animated Spiderman series a few years ago.

It does look intriguing and looks like the best thing Sony has done Spiderman related on screen that they solely control in years. I like the various animation styles as well.

I may go to the cinema to see this. In fact looking at Christmas, I think this is the only thing I am really looking forward to coming out.

WTF. Well I suppose it took them long enough. Going the Deadpoolish route is a surprise.

Final Alita trailer is here, damn you for dropping out of the 2018 movie schedule and costing me a 2018 movie predictions slot. Still, looks like it'll be a pretty awesome movie.

Still not totally sold on Disney really going all in on these live action remakes. And totally not sold on this one.

And you can tell it's not real animals. And I am not sure that they have that song.

But this is a gutsy move for a teaser with so many callbacks to that original trailer.

Is this just going to be a 'live action' shot for shot remake of the original? The trailer certainly appears this to be true.

Does seem a bit pointless if that is the case, but the live action Jungle Book was quite different despite having quite a few call backs to the original animated feature. Will wait and see what else they’ve got to show in future trailers. Not writing this off yet, especially as it is done by the same people who did the live action remake of that.

I don't think so. You couldn't really have a Lion King teaser without these iconic scenes and a bit of "Arsene Wenger!"
