Caught the trailer whilst watching Iron Man on ITV . Had a 'OMG Fecking Brilliant' moment , before pissing myself laughing at Spider-Ham turning up !! :hitthetable:

AND Nicholas Cage voicing Spider-Man Noir to :applaud:

Probably won't be able to see it for ages , but nice to know it's there to catch up on

All those animated wishes of my youth , seem to be becoming reality now ... :madboogie:

Caught this this week. Keeping Aquaman for next week.

A good shout for one of the best Spiderman films yet.

The animation style needs to be experienced. At first I thought I had walked into a 3d film without the glasses. I hadn't. The forefront was gloriously in focus.

This possibility sets a new standard or paradigm for animated superhero films. This is quite literally the closest thing to a comic brought to life I have seen, and perfectly evokes the Spidy titles out their. It's also a perfect introduction to a host of Spiderman adjacent titles. Marvel would seriously be missing a trick if some of these didn't get at least their own cartoon series. Access to live action being bogged down in various rights issues.

And the Stan Lee cameo. Perfect.

I found this really offputting. I even had to check my ticket to make sure I had bought 2D! Whatever they were trying to do didn't really work for me.

It was almost has if they were going for foreground focus with distance blur for Miles world. Some of the time. This didn't necessarily play well with the Ben-Day dotted look, which when that worked, was perfect I thought for the comic book feel. Of course all that with the various mixtures of almost CGI, Animé, black and white, and loonytoonesque, sometimes in the same scene shouldn't have worked, but strangely did. So I am willing to let one more attempt at something pass, even if it did knock me out of the picture at times.

I was watching it on IMAX 2D but they had the 3D bins there for a later showing so I picked up a pair of glasses just to see if it made a difference, it didn't

Loved the film I'll go and see it again and will be a must have when the 4K comes out

Finally got around to seeing this this week. What a cracking film. Loved it. Had the same issue as you Kang, had a weird feeling that I was in the 3D show by mistake without my 3D gigs, but nope, that is the way it's supposed to look. Got used to it after a while, but yeah, was a little off putting initially.
