Looks promising.

Agreed. Looks like Marvel are pulling the de-aging trick again with Coulson. I can't tell if Jackson's just wearing a wig and make up since he doesn't age normally like the rest of us.

And did anyone else think of Doctor Who in that opening shot?

Hadn't thought about Doctor Who until you mentioned it.

Looks interesting.

I liked the Her a Hero change. Clever.

I like everything barring the Mohawk.

I think it's meant to be her hair sticking out the top of the helmet thing, but it does look a bit daft.

I like it, looks stunning, I love how when she glows her hair floats from the force of the power like static electricity hair reaction, but on steroids, that's a nice touch, but yeah, the mohawk and fully CGI digital double Captain Marvel does look a little obvious, hopefully they can improve upon that in the next 3 or so months, but other than that I'm really buzzing for this movie. And who doesn't want to see Skrulls on the big screen at long last? Right, now where is that new Avengers trailer at?

It is the helmet that causes it and i thought it always looked daft.

Quite cool when her helmet dematerialises and her hair falls down. Does make you wonder what gathers it up into a mowhawk when the helmet rematerialises again though.

All in all preferred the first trailer. However the end of this one, truly excellent. Connect glowy space Captain Marvel to the end of the last trailer - perfection.

Really liking the look of this, this one gives us more of a feel for how they're playing the character. I'm liking it a lot, and it seems that they're going for a bit more of a goofy feel to her which should contrast nicely to the more serious and regal Wonder Woman.

I think at this point we can trust Marvel to deliver, and this doesn't look like disappointing.

Well they'll not want to be dropping the ball with this character introduction if they're looking at her to possibly be leader of the pack going forward into the next phase of the MCU.

Watched it this evening. It's good, I enjoyed it. I wasn't blown away by it, it's certainly not up there with most of the Avengers films or Guardians films, but all in all a good fun watch, some really funny moments, and a good introduction to the titular character.

Fight/battle scenes are a little underwhelming though, not terrible by any means but not as exciting as other Marvel films have had. Maybe that's on purpose though, as they reminded me very much of films from the 90s?

Two post credit scenes, one predictably after the main star titles bit and one right at the end after all the credits. The last one not necessarily worth waiting for if you were expecting any revelations, just a funny little extra.

Agree with all that and my only real complaint was the first 40 minutes or so was a little slow and most of the scenes on that planet were hidden by the dark/dust

Other forums are arguing about the female empowerment aspect of the film, seems that went over the head of my wife and as we just thought it was an Ok film

I'm in the same camp. I liked it, but it didn't blow me away. Strong support from the rest of the cast, and I'm sure Brie Larson will grow into the role, it was a bit hard to pin her down in this one, with her being so cocky and self assured, but also lost as to what is in her past, it was hard to get a feel for her. I'll bet she'll be better in Avengers: End Game. Being a film that dealt with a lot of similar themes, I preferred Alitia: Battle Angel myself. I felt that handled those themes far better.
