Morbius? And I thought that the bottom of the barrel had been well and truly scraped.

That will get quietly forgotten after Venom. And if not, after Silver & Black.

Every time Sony announce something though, I think back to the look on Kevin Feige's face when Amy Pascal was talking rubbish at the Spider-Man: Homecoming promotion. And that makes me giggle.

I'm hoping that they drag their feet so much on Silver & Black that that gets forgotten or folded in to the MCU Spider-Man films. The number of times the Flash and Gambit cans have been kicked down the road gives me hope. Marvel are the only company who can really afford to have multiple films in production concurrently safe in the knowledge that they will all be a success.

On the other hand, if Silver & Black and Morbius are successful, we will be two steps closer to the The Grizzly Movie we have always wanted

I hope this means they are going to quietly forget about all the Sony Marvel Universe bollocks and just stick to making Spider-Man films.

Silk :) Would probably be quicker if they said which characters they aren't going to make a movie of.

Silk? Sure, just wake me when they're eventually absorbed into the MCU

Sony's announcements remind me of when Jack Donaghy was deliberately trying to tank NBC on 30 Rock. I wouldn't be surprised if they have no real expectation of making them and just want to seem like they aren't just waiting for the deal with Disney to end.

As if a Morbius film wasn't bad enough.

That bites*.

*well, unless you know Morbius from the '90s Spidey cartoon in which case it puts its hands on your shoulders and magically drains you of your "plasma".

'Silver and Black' now two films, 'Black Cat' and 'Silver Sable'. My guess is that the Black Cat film might get made but the Silver Sable film will wither on the vine.
