As existing members will know, I don't have a problem with swearing on these forums. In fact, part of the reason it took me so long to find a suitable host when I decided to move the forum was that most forum hosts list "no profanity" in their terms and conditions, which would make them unsuitable hosts for this forum, aimed at responsible adults.

There is one word that I just don't like though. Starts with a C, rhymes with Ferengi Commerce Authority Liquidator Brunt, you know the one. I don't really know why I have such a great aversion to the word, perhaps it's that so many close female friends I've had since my late teens hate the word so much, or just the way it sounds, or something else. But, I do really dislike the word.

I'd never ask anyone to restrict their language around me when out in the world and I hope no-one ever would (unless my children are with me, of course!), but if you came to my home I'd feel comfortable in asking you not to say that word, in a friendly manner, obviously. I think it's not unfair of me to ask the same in my own little corner of the internet. After all, I put a lot of time and effort into creating this place, and while I'd never ask anything in return (apart from your continued patronage! I love it when this place gets busy), I'd just rather not see the word I dislike so much marring any of the pages.

So, it's the only word that is censored here, to be replaced with the word "bunny". Please, please don't try to circumvent that by using new and unusual ways of spelling the word, as that just means I'll have to spend even more time adding to the page of alternative spellings in the word censoring controls.
