OK, sorry for the delay, PC trouble has plagued me recently, but thanks to my wife's work Surface Tablet I've been able to sort out the smilies on the posting page a bit, though they're not ideal for the darker themes. Better than what it was though.

The "View more smilies" is still a mess but this is at least a start!

OK, looks like Photobucket has decided to make images available now. I think I'll move the smileys around so the ones that work better on a dark background are back on the main posting page, for those of you using a lighter theme, all existing smilies will be available on the "view more smilies" page if you want to use them instead.

Edit: Ah, if you look very closely there's a little smudge on them that presumably says "Proudly Hosted By Photobucket" (you can read it on the giant explodey smiley on the smilies page). I can live with that.
