Thanks to Tao for putting up this useful little section of How To's.

As there has been quite an influx of users of the SFX Forum, you may have noticed that there isn't a multiquote option here on Offtopica 2 which runs on phpBB, unlike the old SFX Forum which ran on vBulletin.

However, there is a way to do this. It's actually a nicer implementation in the sense that you don't go mad quoting half the thread you're reading and can focus on replying only to the things that matter!

Now, I was going to run through the whole thing but I've found a very nice YouTube video which explains the process, so if you prefer, look here:



In summary though:

• Quote the person you wish to talk to first and answer them.
• Scroll down to the Topic Review section at the bottom of the reply page and click quote next to the second person you wish to talk to.
• Once you've answered them, if you wish to answer a third, then do the same as before and quote them from the topic review section.

Doing this allows you to arrange your quotes as you wish in the reply box and also to not flood it when you first start replying. Very useful for smartphone or tablet users.

Plus it means we don't have to ask Tao to install a plugin!

Thanks for this, I was literally just last night wondering if I should put up a little multiquote tutorial, you beat me to it.

One thing I should say about the YouTube clip is completely ignore the first method the guy goes on about, the second method of scrolling down and quoting as many posts as you like is phpBB's intended multiquote function and by far the best way to do it.
